TERMS & CONDITIONS

We carry forward a simple promise: to make honest blankets with care, treat people fairly, respect animal welfare and honour the environment. The following terms set out the practical details of how we trade with you, wherever you are in the world.
We are Alamak! Project Limited, trading as The Stroud (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Registered name: Alamak! Project Limited (trading as “The Stroud”)
Company number: 3397781 (registered in England & Wales)
VAT number: GB696979730
Registered office: AS Zanettos & Co. 4 Croxted Mews London SE24 9DA
Trading address: Fletchers Knapp, Elcombe, Stroud, Gloucestershire GL6 7LA

Website: www.thestroud.com (the “Site”).
When you buy from the Site, you contract with Alamak! Project Limited. You may see “The Stroud” on the website, packaging and communications, and you may see Alamak! Project Limited on invoices, receipts, bank statements or payment descriptors. Both refer to the same business.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all purchases made on the Site. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to any policies we reference (e.g., Returns Policy, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy). If something here conflicts with mandatory local consumer law, that local law takes priority for consumers.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. If you order on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
The Stroud blanket is made from Cotswold Lion wool sourced from pedigree flocks and woven by specialist mills. Natural materials and traditional processes mean that minor variations in shade, nap, handle, or dimensions may occur. These are not defects; they are the living trace of the craft. Product images are illustrative—colours can vary with screens and lighting.
Placing your order. When you submit an order, you’re offering to buy the products in your basket.
Order acknowledgement. We’ll email to acknowledge receipt. This isn’t acceptance of the order.
Acceptance. A contract forms when we email you to confirm dispatch, or when we dispatch the goods—whichever happens first.
If we can’t accept. Because a product is unavailable, there’s an error in price/description, or we suspect fraud, we’ll let you know and won’t charge you.
Prices. Prices are shown in GBP (unless we state otherwise) and include UK VAT where applicable.
International orders. Your order may be subject to local import taxes, customs duties, or fees upon arrival. These are not included in our prices and are your responsibility. Customs processes may cause delays beyond our control.
Price errors. If we discover a pricing error, we may cancel your order and refund any payment made.
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout (e.g., major debit/credit cards and approved third-party payment services). Payment is taken at point of order (or as specified by the payment provider). Your card or bank statement may show Alamak! Project Limited or The Stroud as the merchant of record. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may cancel the order or request an alternative method.
Where we deliver. We ship from the UK to the destinations shown at checkout.
Costs & timings. Delivery options, charges and estimated timings are shown at checkout and in your confirmation email. Estimates aren’t guaranteed.
Risk & title. Risk passes to you on delivery; title passes when we receive full payment.
Missed deliveries. If a parcel is returned to us due to non-collection or an incorrect address, we can resend (additional postage may apply) or refund the product price less outbound postage (for goods received in their original condition with tags, gift box and packaging).
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you usually have 14 days from delivery to cancel for any reason (the “cooling-off period”). To cancel, please email us with your order number before the period ends, and return the goods within 14 days of telling us.
Exceptions: We cannot accept returns for (i) customised / personalised items, or (ii) goods not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons if unsealed after delivery, unless faulty.
Condition. Items should be returned unused, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags, gift box and packaging where possible. Please pack securely.
Return shipping. Unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong item, you are responsible for return postage and its cost.
Refunds. We’ll refund the product price to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the return, less any permitted deductions for diminished value caused by handling beyond what’s necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. Original delivery charges are refunded at the standard rate (if any).
How to start a return. Contact us at baa@thestroud.com for instructions and the return address.
If a product is faulty or not as described, please contact us. UK consumers have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (including a short-term right to reject within 30 days for faulty goods, repair or replacement rights, and potential final right to price reduction or rejection). These rights are not affected by our returns policy. Consumers outside the UK may have equivalent mandatory rights under local law.
Subject to stock availability and within the cooling-off period (or our goodwill policy if applicable), we’re happy to consider exchanges. Where exchange is not possible, we will process a refund in line with Sections 9–11.
Wool is a noble natural fibre: it rewards good care. Please follow the care instructions supplied with your blanket and outlined on our website. Improper washing, drying or storage can cause shrinkage, colour runs, felting or distortion and is not considered a manufacturing fault.
You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activities under your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
By posting reviews, photos or other content to our Site or tagging us on social media with a clear brand mention (e.g., @thestroudblanket) or our campaign hashtags, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and share that content for marketing and promotional purposes (including resizing or editing for presentation), always crediting you by handle or name where reasonably possible. Please only post content you own and that is fair, lawful and respectful.
The Site and all content (including text, images, logos, product names, designs and artwork) are owned by or licensed to Alamak! Project Limited and are protected by intellectual property laws. You agree not to misuse the Site—for example by introducing viruses, scraping, attempting unauthorised access, interfering with security, or using the Site in any unlawful way.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to the foregoing, we will not be liable for: (a) losses that were not caused by our breach; (b) business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, contracts, data, goodwill or anticipated savings; or (c) any indirect or consequential loss.
For consumers, we only supply products for domestic and private use. If you use products for any commercial or re-sale purpose, we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, business or business opportunity. Our total liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your order shall not exceed the price paid for the relevant products.
If events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural events, strikes, carrier delays, pandemics, governmental actions) affect our ability to perform, we’ll contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take steps to minimise the effect. If there is a risk of significant delay, you may contact us to cancel and receive a refund for products you have paid for but not received.
If something isn’t right, please email baa@thestroud.com with your order number and details. We’ll aim to resolve matters promptly and fairly. If you are a UK consumer, you may have access to alternative dispute resolution (ADR). We are not obliged to use ADR and may decide case-by-case whether to participate.
We may use trusted third-party providers for payments, delivery, analytics or other services. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites we link to.
We welcome customers worldwide. If you are a consumer and live outside the UK, you may benefit from mandatory rights under your local law. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights. English is the language of our contract.
These Terms and any dispute or claim (contractual or non-contractual) arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in your local courts. Consumers outside the UK may also bring proceedings in their local courts where required by law.
As we continue the work of renewing The Stroud, we may update these Terms from time to time. Changes apply to orders placed after the date the updated Terms are posted. We’ll note the date at the top when we make updates.
